If you read this, you are probably new to Framepad IO. Welcome! In this post, we want to introduce you to what Framepad IO is and what we are building.
Framepad IO is a browser-based tool for interacting with MIDI devices. Using Framepad IO, you can connect to your MIDI devices and send Program and Control Changes to them. For example, you can switch presets on your MIDI device, or control parameters like volume or modulation.
Getting Started
To get started with Framepad IO, simply navigate to the Framepad IO website and create your first frame. A frame is a collection of controls (called Pads) that you can interact with, or that send commands to your MIDI devices.
Unfortunately, Framepad IO is not compatible with all browsers yet. We recommend using Chrome or Edge for the best experience. The reason for this is that Framepad IO relies on the Web MIDI API, which is not supported in all browsers.
